We’re All a Bunch of Liars…But it’s Ok <3

To be honest, I don’t get what the big deal with lying is. Sure it’s hard to trust someone again when say, they pretend to be a 16 year old girl online and end up being a 48 year old man who lives in his mother’s basement.  But I’m talking about small lies.  Lies to protect yourself or others.  I honestly have yet to meet someone who hasn’t lied.  I’m sure you’ve lied.  To a parent, a significant other, a friend, a teacher…need I go on?  The point is I hear numerous people whining about how someone lied, nay, how someone betrayed their trust…and how they don’t know how they can ever trust/be friends with the person again.  I say cut everyone some slack.  We’re all just human.  We all make mistakes.  We all tell lies.  It’s not as big a deal as some make it out to be.  So forgive and move on :)   

*now this doesn’t apply to horrid situations where someone is a psychopath/compulsive liar.  My close friend was with an extremely deceptive person for many years.  I know the pain dishonesty can cause.  This post is about people catching friends in small lies and making a huge fuss over it.  I hope I didn’t offend anyone <3*
